Winter Lady

Found these photos from a couple of weeks ago on my camera. I’ll go days wearing black and gray and then I’ll get bored of it and leave my house looking like a lollipop.

I’ve been totally slacking in the blogging/youtube world this break, my apologies. But Im on this crazy allergy elimination diet, crazy caffeine with drawls, exhaustion, etc. This has given me the opportunity to watch a ton of movies and my top two are: The Art of Getting By and Another Earth. Definitely my new favorite movies.
On the books scene, I just got “Looking For Alaska,” “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” “It’s Kind of a Funny Story,” and “Clean.” Yes, this is how I will be spending the remainder of my break.

My Make Up:

This is precisely how I do my eyeliner:

Finals week is almost over but tomorrow’s the hardest day of all; wish me luck!
New videos coming up during winter break.

Tried to channel my inner hippie but I’m so over the feathers and the dream catchers, theyre so played out.
Bought these JC Hologram’s during Solestruck’s Black Friday sale. They’re so versatile and I pretty much stared at them for a good two minutes when I first opened the box. (Black Friday Shoe Haul video)
Loop-de-Loop Carousel glitter gloss from Lime Crime: I love the color but Ill be honest, I absolutely hate lip gloss so Ill probably only be using these for blog posts.

Gold torque necklace from Topshop. Shipping took forever and a day and it came broken but yay for super glue!

My mom bought these pants from India. The workmanship is so intricate.

Finals are next week.
Almost done with college applications.
So. Burnt. Out.

Black Out

I’ve been deeply drawn to black and dark hues of purple lately for no distinguishable reason.
Pseudo-Jeffrey Campbell night walker. Kaleidoscope lip gloss from Lime Crime.

I was asked about the trends at the moment, and this is my take.

Transition to Winter

Transitioning pieces from warmer to colder weather is one way fashionistas stay stylish for less. Layering is key; accessorizing keeps the outfit on trend.

WARM: Higher neck tanks keep a slit skirt in good taste. To make this outfit not so secretary-ish, I added a leopard print belt and a torque necklace. Kitten heels are the perfect shoe for this skirt. Avoid wearing boots or oxfords since they will shorten the leg. Since there are already two accessories, I didn’t wear a bracelet or ring. I absolutely love kelly green for spring.

BREEZY: The only pieces necessary for the transition to this stage is a small blazer and a fur collar. This off white blazer adds freshness to the outfit.

CHILLY: Throw on a parka and some tights. I chose a pain black tight to bring attention to the shoe’s detailing. Also, the parka is super busy so the rest of the outfit needed to be tame.

COLD: Threw on a maxi coat. My mom has one like this–from the 90s.

Side note: Do you like my new garment rack? Totally helped with the organization in my closet!
Another side note: I’ve been posting videos on YouTube this week. A got a ton of comments asking for more outfit of the day videos so I’ll be doing those from time to time. Check ’em out here.
