I’m feelin’ very Scary Spice in this look. I find these pants extremely difficult to style, so I went for a shabby chic look and wore ’em to my 8 am class this morning. I’m obsessed with the Boy London print and harem pants are back this fall.

Look numéro dos. I changed in between classes because it’s about 86 degrees in LA today. Get with the whole fall thing, Los Angeles! (And when it’s cold I’ll complain then too…)
This look is much more girly and definitely school friendly.
Oh and yes, I purchased TOMS…ugh. They’re horrible for your feet and not cute at all but so easy to deal with. Sue me!
Which look do you like better?

House of Harlow necklace. I’ve been looking at it for a while and decided to get the taupe color because taupe’s in and everyone has the black one…(hipster problems?)

It has been ridiculously hot in Malibu, I’m having flashbacks to New York City this past summer.

Mock Missoni

I went shopping on Melrose with my roommate this past weekend and found this cute little dress. The print screams iconic Missoni. Melrose could possibly be my favorite place on earth. Nasty Gal and other trendy online boutiques have a lot of the same pieces found on Melrose with insane price tags. There definitely are a lot of junk stores so you have to know where to shop. (I stick to the blocks with both Timeless Boutiques). I’m not a big fan of the vintage shops. Their clothing is over priced and they usually have stuff from Urban Outfitters’ previous collection which doesn’t technically count as “vintage”. And in general, vintage shopping isn’t really my thing and I find myself immediately reaching for hand sanitizer when leaving the store.

Colllleeegeeee. Is interesting. Way different than I expected or what I was told. Yes, there actually is homework. And maybe it’s just my school, but it’s graded and counts. This college definitely feels a lot like high school but more close minded and not so accepting which is weird because one would expect a college near Los Angeles to be culturally aware. Maybe I’m just getting ahead of myself so I’ll have to see how everything works out.

Converse are literally my new best friend! The stairs here at Pepperdine are no joke.

So I’ve definitely combated the humidity issue. Apparently there’s tons of products for this kind of stuff. Alterna anti-frizz hair spray, Peter Thomas Roth oil-control spf 20, Bumble and Bumble anti-frizz serum, etc. They’re all pretty great products and basically my hair and make up’s lifeline down here in Malibu.

Wow, I haven’t taken that long of a hiatus from blogging, ever. Life has been pretty hectic. I moved to my dorm at Pepperdine and I’ve just been situating myself for the past week. Today was my first day of classes so I decided not to go too extreme with the outfit (though it depends on what one would consider “extreme”). I was surprised by the amount of girls that dress up for classes though! I kept seeing a bunch of chiffon skirts, denim cut offs, and combat boots.

Malibu isn’t very college student friendly. The closest Target is 30 minutes away and there’s not much to do around here (especially if you don’t surf, like me). But I’m really excited to be living here. I signed up for the equestrian club and surf club and I’m a sports medicine major with a pre-med concentration.

P.S. Excuse the crappy photos. These were taken in my dorm’s common room just after classes because I don’t want to be the “strange girl with the tripod” just yet!
