I bought this hat from an unauthorized online seller because there’s no need to contribute to Trump and his agenda. The only place a Trump supporter should exist is as a joke on Halloween. #shadethrown

I know, I know being inspired by Kylie Jenner goes against everything I stand for but I’ll hand it to her, she has good style. (Or maybe it’s her stylist Monica Rose…yes, she has one of those). In contrast, my bottoms are looser and my top is tight and I don’t have one of those fluffy key chains. Those were cool in like 2011, when I had one…just sayin’. I like the nude effect this body suit gives off. It’s a shame American Apparel is probably going out of business.

Today was the second day of school and I’m already swamped. 20 units won’t be easy–wish me luck!

That awkward moment when you’re trying to go for a boho chic look and it starts pouring in the middle of July. In LA. Anyway, my friend Danielle Gumina just started her own line of handbags (griphandbags.com) and won a contest with InStyle Magazine. I think the design is so clever. I usually hate clutches because I have to place them under my arm and I keep dropping them all night long. This clutch is functional. The stones are super good quality—cheap rhinestones are a pet peeve of mine! I can’t wait to see what other colors and variations she creates. I visualize myself wearing an all gray one with a white pant suit…actually, even this one with a white pantsuit…basically, I love white pant suits.

In other news, I have added to my denim skirt collection with this One Teaspoon number and I’m in love. It’s versatile and screams “I’m so LA and I know fashion.” I can’t wait to dress it up with a pointy nude heel, red lip and statement earrings.

These shoes suck. I waited so long for them and was wondering why no other brands were making over the knee tie up gladiators and then I realized it’s because they don’t stay up! It’s like *one step, fall, tie again, repeat*. They do make for fab photos though. I feel like Khaleesi.

Coachella Weekend One

Coachella was amazing but Lollapalooza wins. I feel like way too many people were at Coachella because it’s “hip” and they wanted cool photos. There was too much pressure to dress unique/trendy. I literally wore a t-shirt, shorts and docs everyday at Lolla. I’m all about dressing on trend and taking pictures (duh) but this was one of those times that I would’ve just liked to listen to the music and take it all in.
PSA: do not wear sandals at these things. Docs are hot and sweaty, yeah, but they don’t peel the skin off your toes (TMI, but necessary to information to know). Seriously. Even Birkenstocks weren’t comfortable.
People advised me against wearing metal jewelry but I didn’t have any issues with it. I chose a cross body over a backpack because when you’re in a big crowd it’s easy for someone to steal something from a backpack.
I stayed at the J.W. Marriott with some friends and we took the shuttle. Because of this, we weren’t able to go back and forth from the hotel to the event (it was about a 20 minute drive–not worth it). The nice thing about Lolla was that I stayed at a hotel within walking distance.

These two casual looks embody what I usually wear to class: Nikes or Docs, tees, bracelets and a tote. I like how soft this Civil Clothing t-shirt is–and it’s a fun play on the typical “lips” tee. I wear my Nike frees outside of the gym because it makes my outfits effortlessly chic and it’s unexpected.

The second look is so comfortable. I love me some dungarees. I took off a strap so you could see the tee and well, because that’s how I usually wear my overalls (which are perfect for spring!). But I keep true to my usual style and add edgy elements to spring attire–which is why I like this t-shirt and the Civil Clothing brand itself.

Quilted pieces: I’m a tad late on this one but better late than never, right? I saw a top like this at Zara a few months back but they didn’t have my size. I then came across this dupe at H&M and snagged it immediately. It’s a spring friendly piece so I chose it instead of this little number from ASOS (even though that skirt is fabulous).
Oh and my answer to dressing down every look: Doc Martens.

Whitney Eve/ASOS Brand Ambassador

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you’ve seen that I’ve started interning at Whitney Eve…aka dream internship. It’s nothing like a stereotypical internship. We’re encouraged to contribute on whatever we want and we don’t go on coffee runs. My title is “Social Media Intern” and I’ve been working on some fun little stuff the past few weeks that I can’t wait to share.
In other news, I recently found out that I (along with two others) are the official USC ASOS Brand Ambassadors. Basically the coolest thing ever because I shop at ASOS on the regular. We get to give away free ASOS products and hold events with other organizations on campus.
This “dress” is detachable–something I’ve never seen before. I decided to wear it with a pair of doc’s because as an intern, even though I might want to wear heels and be all fancy/professional, if they’re not required…I won’t do it. I learned this the hard way. Plus the docs make the dress less grandma and more…#punk.

Naturally, midterms are consuming my life. I finally declared a major (double major): economics and creative writing. I believe that combination covers all of my bases (look at me using baseball colloquialisms!) in terms of my interests and strengths. I find it so strange that you’re expected to choose a major right out of high school. You haven’t even been given the chance to explore. I have taken some GEs here at USC that have immensely impacted my views and opinions. If someone told me two years ago that I was going to major in creative writing, I would not have believed them.

In other news, Bangerz is such an amazing album I can’t even deal. I have been listening to it non stop. Miley was phenomenal on SNL this past weekend as well.

Channeling my inner Alexander Wang with this t-shirt and shabby chic look. My mane is so OOC; I’m going to go get it tamed by my girl Ashley at Chop Chop Salon later today. I’m kind of feelin’ the tousled thing goin’ on with this outfit though.

And my LF boyfriend jeans have made another appearance… definitely pick up a pair of bf jeans for the fall. I think this is one of the few outfits I’ve blogged in a while where I’m not wearing something high waisted.

Side note: I’m so glad I bought these booties. I get so much use out of them and so many compliments.
