That awkward moment when you’re trying to go for a boho chic look and it starts pouring in the middle of July. In LA. Anyway, my friend Danielle Gumina just started her own line of handbags ( and won a contest with InStyle Magazine. I think the design is so clever. I usually hate clutches because I have to place them under my arm and I keep dropping them all night long. This clutch is functional. The stones are super good quality—cheap rhinestones are a pet peeve of mine! I can’t wait to see what other colors and variations she creates. I visualize myself wearing an all gray one with a white pant suit…actually, even this one with a white pantsuit…basically, I love white pant suits.

In other news, I have added to my denim skirt collection with this One Teaspoon number and I’m in love. It’s versatile and screams “I’m so LA and I know fashion.” I can’t wait to dress it up with a pointy nude heel, red lip and statement earrings.

These shoes suck. I waited so long for them and was wondering why no other brands were making over the knee tie up gladiators and then I realized it’s because they don’t stay up! It’s like *one step, fall, tie again, repeat*. They do make for fab photos though. I feel like Khaleesi.

Shy Wilder

Street wear/festival inspired look featuring this crop top courtesy of Shy Wilder. I like this top because it’s a basic piece with a little flair–perfect for summer. The embroidered shorts pretty much scream festival/summer style. All I need to throw this outfit into cliché central would be a floral crown (lolz make them stop plz).

Quilted pieces: I’m a tad late on this one but better late than never, right? I saw a top like this at Zara a few months back but they didn’t have my size. I then came across this dupe at H&M and snagged it immediately. It’s a spring friendly piece so I chose it instead of this little number from ASOS (even though that skirt is fabulous).
Oh and my answer to dressing down every look: Doc Martens.

Multicolored Denim on Denim

It’s almost spring and that means I have to trade in my layers for shorts and tanks…but there’s a few weeks left. Here’s a look I styled with shorts from Civil Clothing’s spring collection. I’m all about denim on denim–especially when it’s multicolored denim. These shorts are tiny so I styled them with some tights underneath. A look like this can be rocked day or night.

Miley Concert on Saturday EEEP! I literally cannot wait. Have you seen her on the cover of W Magazine?! So perf.

As of late, I’ve been wearing whatever is convenient and comfortable. Surprising, I know. It’s just that time of the year with classes and what not. I’m so ready for the semester to be over, my goodness.
This UNIF dress doesn’t have much shape so I use it as a sort of kimono instead.
I’m really loving all of the Civil Clothing pieces from their fall collection and I was lucky enough to be sent some pieces from their new collection, “Dare to Be Different” which is going to be released on December 2nd. Their muscle tees are simple and effortless. You can throw one on before running out the door and you’re rep-ing an awesome brand.

If you’re in Los Angeles on November 30th, head to the Civil Clothing Warehouse Sale.

Okay can we just talk about how fabulous Selena Gomez looked at the Versace S/S ’14 show in Milan… Basically that look embodies what I want my uniform to consist of this fall.
Girly silhouettes, dark colors and bold lips.

I’ve been briefly following NYFW, LFW and MFW through Instagram. My course load does not allow for internet fashion obsession. Nor does it allow for television watchin’ (I’ve been sticking solely to glimpses of CNN whilst making breakfast…who am I?) I was completely unaware of the production of The Originals. Is this a spinoff television series? Is The Vampire Diaries going to air simultaneously? I mean, I’m not sure why I’m curious considering I dropped watching TVD a while ago. But in my opinion they are taking this whole series way too far…I think it’s time to wrap it up.

In other news, I attended a Mount Kimbie show the other day at the EchoPlex. Interesting music, intriguing slideshows and a lot of people watching… I’m definitely not a Silverlake/Echo Park person. Nor am I into trance music (though “Made To Stray” is a pretty good song). It was a cool experience nonetheless. It made me nostalgic for Lollapalooza. I’m in need of a therapeutic music festival ASAP.

I worked the door at the 7FAM event tonight in Century City. Basically, my internship rocks. S/O to Lauren Stillman!
I got to see Ashley Madekwe of and Revenge, for the second time. (I had first met her at esNAIL on Melrose.) As always, she was a sweetheart and looked gorgeous.
I also got to meet one of my fashion blogger idols: Krystal Simpson of She is one of those bloggers that I’ve been following since I started blogging in 2009. She was extremely down to earth and took a bunch of pictures with me.
It was a super fun night and I’m so excited to have gotten this opportunity.
P.S. shout out to 7FAM for the jeans!

It’s officially my month of birth. I’m only really excited about being able to have cake, not really the birthday itself. Nineteen is an uneventful age but it’s one year closer to not being a teenager anymore which I can’t wait for.

I got another tattoo, dedicated to my sister Jasmine and I subsequently got in a lot of trouble with my parents…oops. College makes you feel like an adult but once you go home it’s like, “NOPE. You’re still a kid”. Guess I need to slow down on the permanent marking of myself for a bit.

This shoot: the location, vibe and outfit was inspired by Lana Del Rey. The light leaks were all natural so we got some pretty awesome shots. These photographs have inspired me to want to purchase a Canon T3i.
I’m obsessed with this lingerie style dress. It’s delicate, simple and sexy without being too forward. And naturally, I added my quintessential gold accents.
I bought these sunglasses to replace my Célines which I so irresponsibly misplaced. But I’m definitely in love with these as well. I’m all about the transparent sunglasses trend.

Earlier today my sister texts me that she sent me a package and that I needed to go downstairs and get it because it was perishable. I take the elevator down and she’s standing right there! Pretty much gave me a mini heart attack. She drove eight hours to come surprise me since we haven’t seen each other since March.
We decided to head to Sunset Boulevard and go to Chateau Marmont which ended up being quite disappointing. So we decided to retreat to our favorite restaurant, Fig & Olive.

Side note: I have a strong desire to wear this t-shirt to a vegan restaurant… I wonder how that would play out.
