I’m feeling super TBT in this mini cami slip dress, choker and platform tennis shoes. I feel like all I need is a lollipop to complete the look.

I happened to be wearing this outfit when I went to get my nails done and this lady was like “Aw you look so cute! Like a little girl.” I don’t know if I should take that as a compliment. Whatevz. She looked like a housewife. Probably was one.

I’ve also seen a few fashion bloggers wear their hair half up kind of like this. I have super thick hair so I decided to do this rather than wearing it half up in a bun.

Side note: one month until I LEAVE FOR LONDON

This dress was definitely a hit on the Greek row last night… I got told the dress reminded someone of a Pokemon character and then we discussed Exeggutor and Pikachu for a bit. At a frat party. I kid you not.

I always end up wearing something that sparks up conversation when I go out.

Oh and my trusty JC boots: they will forever be my going out shoes. I don’t understand why girls wear heels or super white converse when going to fraternity parties. They’re destined to get wrecked.

School is kicking my ass–in a good way. I’m in 16 units, I have an internship, I’m writing for the Daily Trojan and I’m in a sorority. “No rest for the wicked” kinda thing goin’ on…ish. 3 out of 4 of my classes revolve around writing and thinking about life in a philosophical manner so I’m pretty much brain dead by this time during the week and all I want to do is watch mindless television shows and eat multigrain waffles.

Side note: I look very unkempt and that wasn’t done on purpose. #shabbychic #naturally #lol #ineedanap

Threw my best friend a birthday party on Friday (our birthdays are 3 days apart).
We basically turned my apartment into an 80s high school dance venue.
Next weekend: my birthday event; can’t wait.

While eating my lunch in Nike shorts and a tank I came across an Instagram from Nasty Gal showing that they’re at USC handing out magazines….I FLIPPED and proceeded to dress up in my new Nasty Gal gear and search for the girls. I met three lovely reps and though they didn’t have any magazines left, they featured me on their Instagram! I love my school way too much.

Mint Julep

Mint jumpers are the bee’s knees. I just want to hang out in my mint jumper while eating Baskin Robin’s mint chocolate chip ice cream and watching good cinema. That is my idea of a good time.
I was torn between this sweater  and the one pictured but then I decided I liked the quality of the Zara one better. Plus the high low hem thing is getting kind of old. My closet is teeming with asymmetrical hemmed pieces, so I will continue to wear them, but I won’t infest my wardrobe by buying any more of it.
Pull over and jumper style sweaters are my favorite because they’re comfortable and versatile. Here, I paired mine with a dress but the possibilities are pretty much endless. This sweater would look great with cut offs, leggings on a lazy day, a pencil skirt, or a maxi skirt. Every fashionista has to have at least one pastel pull over/jumper in her closet.
How cool am I with my super hipster bowler hat? I didn’t wear the hat out because hats aren’t allowed at my school plus I have realized that hats are totally not my thing. I don’t know why but I find them quite awkward on myself yet I own so many of them…

Blue Fur

Colored fur. I love this stuff. I kind of ended up matching a lot today. I like how I can dress this floral skirt down with a retro, casual tee. I knotted the top instead of tucking it in because I feel like it gives it a punk feel which goes with the distressed nature of it. Plus, it’s sort of 90s which is all the rage. I’m still kind of in winter mode because it’s still pretty cold where I live. But I feel odd wearing completely winter pieces so I invested in colorful but cold weather friendly pieces.

Now I totally want to wear this outfit out to a punk rock concert instead of sitting in my room writing about the beautiful harmony of spring colors present in this look. Why does my town have to be so uneventful!?

In other news, I will be visiting my future college next week. Should be interesting. I can’t believe I’m moving in a little over four months.
Found these celestial-esque earrings at asos; I’m totally in love with them even though I wish they were bigger.

Black Leopard

Just received this UNIF coat in the mail from Nasty Gal and I absolutely hate it. The sleeves were made for someone with abnormally skinny arms. My arms are pretty skinny and literally, my blood circulation was cut off while wearing this which is such a shame because it’s fully lined and would’ve been so comfortable and warm. I would return it for a larger size but sales at Nasty Gal are final. Also, the jacket is asymmetrical and fits weirdly so that’s probably why the model is holding the collar in the photo, I presume.
I like the bright colors in the top and I obviously never let one piece dominate a look, so I paired it with my brightest skirt. This is as far as I go with the whole mixing prints trend. To be different, I put the python skinny belt super low.

I know, I know, I look like I’m sleep deprived or high on something when I’m not wearing black eyeliner. But I’ve gotten way too comfortable with dark make up and I’m trying to change that up for spring. I went a little eyeliner crazy today at Ulta and Sephora. I have a few ideas with what I can do with them so stay tuned for some weird stuff. I may try an Effie Trinket look, who knows. Photobucket
PhotobucketI recently got this top from Romwe and I love the colors, concept and drugged out facial expression on the black leopard but Romwe’s tops suck to be honest. First off, everything is one size. This isn’t a big deal for me for the most part but this top is over sized until it hits the bottom hem. The top tapers in and is super tight at the hem. It’s not just this top, it’s all of the chiffon and silk ones. I have bought two similar styles and both have had the same issue. This makes it hard to wear the top with pants and it loses all of it’s charm tucked in. I assume Romwe knows they have an issue because none of their chiffon or silk boxy tops are modeled. I may cut slits in the sides or something, but beware y’all.

Pastel Pink

PhotobucketPhotobucketI styled this pastel pink sweater two ways: casual and trendy. I thought I’d tone it down a notch for school, so I went with a plain white jean. To keep the light theme going, I wore my taupe oxfords. Since they’re a solid color, these oxfords are a loafers dupe. I can’t find loafers I’m totally in love with so I’m going to stick with these until I decide on a pair. For the second look, I swapped the jeans for a leather mini and turquoise tights. The turquoise is a good compliment for the pink and the brown goes with my new ombre hair. PhotobucketI totally dig these pastel pink chandelier earrings. I feel like my hair is just asking for some dramatic, dangly earrings. sweater, nasty gal; pants, h&m; tights, uo; skirt, earrings, f21; shoes, steve madden

Spring Wish List

I’ve had this photo on my computer for a while, it’s a piece by a designer on Etsy. I love the juxtaposition of the simple cord with the rhinestones, very modern.

I saw these pants in the lastest Teen Vogue and immediately tracked them down: for $395. I don’t know if I should splurge on one thing I love or just constantly buy the lastest trends from H&M and Urban Outfitters (every fashionista’s conundrum). But one thing’s for sure, these are a masterpiece that can’t be found at regular stores.

Loafers are my latest obsession. The UNIF Hellraisers and these Senso’s from Solestruck are my favorites.

The Style Stalker leggings are back in stock at Nasty Gal. They’re a masterpiece but not very spring friendly. Plus they’re $192 which is crazy for material that is sure to deteriorate after a few washes.

Love this top from Nasty Gal. It has purple and mint, two lovely colors for spring (kelly green being my other favorite color).
I’ve been obsessed with these Prada sunglasses for ages, and I might just buy them soon. I love them in white because it goes with the whole “I’m lounging in the Bahamas (or wherever rich ladies go on vacation) with my all white, extremely expensive resort wear” persona.
Lastly, this sign for my college dorm. Oh so trendy.
